What's New in Version 6.01 (8/4/2004)

  • Fixed problems connecting to the TerraServer from some computers, especially those that go through a proxy server to get to the internet.

  • Fixed errors when viewing data in 3D if the main Global Mapper window was sized too small. (Registered Version Only)

  • Added the NAD27 (Mexico) datum.

  • Allowed specification of the target compression ratio to use when batch converting to ECW format. (Registered Version Only)

  • Made the EXPORT_RASTER script command take a TARGET COMPRESSION parameter for ECW format exports rather than a QUALITY parameter.
    (Registered Version Only)

  • Fixed problems projecting between State Plane New Mexico Central zone and other projections.

  • Added a projection string to most TAB files generated from Global Mapper.
    (Registered Version Only)

  • Fixed problems with pixels very near the center of a view shed analysis which has a limited angular extent being marked as invisible incorrectly.
    (Registered Version Only)

  • Sped up export and drawing of (Geo)TIFF files with data organized as very large strips.

  • Added support for reading DXF features within the BLOCKS section of a DXF file in addition to those within the ENTITIES section.

  • Always force at least one digit to the right of the decimal point to be saved when saving a distance/z file from the path profile/line of sight dialog. This prevents duplicate elevation values in some cases. (Registered Version Only)

  • Fixed error loading NetCDF grid files that have a single character attribute value.
