| Format USGS Digital Line Graph, Optional Format (DLG-O) | | DLG-O Description: Digital vector representations of cartographic information derived from USGS topographic maps and associated sources. DLG's are available in Optional format, written as ANSI-standard ASCII characters
in fixed-block format. Since the USGS DLG-Optional data does not include record delimiters, our GIS mapping
3D software Global Mapper, does not require that delimiters be added, and will display DLG-O data with or without delimiters. Other gis mapping software may require either
the absence or presence of delimiters. Available for free? No. However, some scales have been converted to Spatial Data Transfer Standard (SDTS). See our SDTS page. Web Pages and FTP Sites:
