| ArcInfo Binary Grid Format | Description: ArcInfo is a very popular GIS mapping package developed by ESRI and used by the international community. Known to process multiple types of data formats and popular for its use of exchanging data with other 3D GIS mapping software like our Global Mapper GPS tracking software. ArcInfo Binary GRID raster data have the following major files:
- STK: stack file
- BND: boundary file
- PRJ: projection and parameter file
- TIC: tic coordinates file
- GRD: column, row, cell size, cell values
- STA: grid total statistical file
- VAT: individual value statistical file
With binary raster data files separated in different directories this allows
